the following Fleur de Legend & my personal statement is attached to the back of each piece of my art.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Stylized flower usually called the Fleur de Lis, is common to all eras and civilizations. The graphic theme has been found in use of the Divine Right of Kings in Ancient Egypt in the Mesopatamia region;
Fleur de Lis translates into English as ''lily flower''.
In France, from where the Fleur de Lis eventually trickles into the North American Continent, is traced to Clovis I in 493 upon his conversion to Christianity. It was adopted by King Philip I of France in the 11th century for his shield, then his grandson Louis VII, used the cobolt blue shield with multiple small gold fleurs.
By the 13th & 14th centuries, about the reign of King Louis IX {St Louis – 1212-1270}, the three petals for the lily were being described by writers as the symbols of FAITH, WISDOM & CHILVALRY... It also became established as a traditional symbol of the Trinity. History relates Joan of Arc {1412-1431}, carrying a large white banner with Golden Fleur de Lis on it.
After the 2005 destructive hurricane season in Louisiana, the Fleur de Lis became a symbol of recovery in the state. This was followed in 2008 by Gov. Jindal signing into law, the Fleur de Lis as the official Louisiana State Symbol.
_______Having had a life-time facination with the mystery of the Trinity of God, that 3 people are one, it seems natural for me to also have had a lifetime love of the Fleur de Lis, which so aptly represents this truth. So, know that each art piece that I create of this image, besides the endless color schemes, has an inner spiritual depth_____” Jo
